About HOH

Our Story

Founded in 2010 by Kymla J. Eubanks, Higher Octave Healing is a nonprofit organization based in Tempe, Arizona that seeks to empower people in our community through music therapy. At its beginning, Kymla envisioned an organization that could collaborate with individuals with disabilities and their families to find the best ways to use the transformative power of music to help improve their lives. An early and enduring partnership with Arizona State University provided the initial spark for HOH to thrive and impact hundreds of lives, not only of the clients served but of the countless music therapy students, interns, and young professionals who learned from Kymla at the ASU Music Therapy Clinic. Through meaningful community partnership and strategic growth, HOH has blossomed and now serves more than 600 people each week, both in our independent Tempe music therapy clinic and at partner locations across Maricopa County, using music therapy to help empower people with a wide variety of abilities and needs.
